How to Book your holiday cottage online

Each property description on this web site has a 'Rents & Availability' calendar. This calendar is colour coded to indicate which weeks are still available and which weeks are already booked and not available.
This calendar also provides details of the rents for the property — Just click on the date you require for the RENT, the DATES and TO BOOK this property. Details of your chosen week will then appear in a popup window allowing you to review your holiday and proceed to the secure booking process or cancel and return to the rents/availability screen.


To book a property on-line, do the following three steps —

A hamster feeding a bull 1. In the "Rents & Availability" section of your chosen property is the Availability calendar. Click on the date you require and the pop-up table will appear, with details of the dates and the rent. Click the words "To book these dates CLICK HERE" in this pop-up table and our Terms and Conditions will then appear on your computer screen.

2. Read all the Terms & Conditions and click the 'I agree & Wish to continue to the booking form' button at the bottom of the page to move on to the Booking Request form.

3. Complete all sections of the Booking Request form, with details of your payments and click the 'submit' button to send the booking form to us, via our secure server. We shall then confirm your booking by e-mail.

...it's as simple as that!

BEFORE BOOKING

This gives advice and guidance on subjects such as pets, arrival & departure times, refundable Good Housekeeping Deposits, special requirements, etc.

RENTAL DEPOSIT PAYMENT

If you are booking more than 8 weeks before the start of the holiday, you only need to pay the following —
1. Rental deposit – GBP20 per GBP100 of rent (or part of GBP100 rent).
(The balance of your holiday rental will be due to be paid 8 weeks before the start of your holiday).
Note for overseas visitors: Payment of your balance of the rental, etc, must be paid in full when making a booking.
Credit card payments have a handling charge of GBP1.00 per GBP100.00 rent (or part of GBP100.00) added. Debit card payments: no handling charge.

BALANCE OF RENTAL PAYMENT

If you are booking 8 weeks or less from the start of your holiday you must pay the following —
1. Full rental (for the period you are booking).
2. A refundable Good Housekeeping Deposit (where applicable – detailed on the Booking Request form).
Credit card payments have a handling charge of GBP1.00 per GBP100.00 rent (or part of GBP100.00) added. Debit card payments: no handling charge.

REMINDERS WILL NOT NORMALLY BE SENT

If a rental deposit or a balance of rental payment is overdue, we shall regard the booking as cancelled if we cannot make contact with you.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS –MAPS

On receipt of your balance of rental payment, we send you detailed Travel Directions which include the property owner's name, address & telephone numbers which you will require to use well before setting off on your holiday. Always telephone the keyholder or property owner well before setting off on your holiday!
Maps available via links from this website are for area information purposes only and neither suitable nor accurate enough to precisely locate any of the holiday properties. We shall supply you with exact details of how to navigate your way to each property in our Travel Directions posted to you before your holiday!

COMING FROM OUTSIDE THE U.K.?

If you are travelling from overseas, some of the holiday property owners can occasionally make special arrangements for bedlinen and towels for you. Before booking, please contact us for more details on this.
Bookings from overseas pay the full rental plus any Good Housekeeping deposit, where applicable, in full when booking a property

We always try to answer your call personally. As well as answering the telephones personally during office hours, we have answering machines and fax machines which run 24 hours a day.

ADVANCE BOOKINGS

Hamster Cottages can take advance booking reservations with a deposit of £80 for any date in the future. Just select you chosen date in the rents and availability calendar and follow the steps described in "How to Book" section above. As soon as the rents are available for your chosen week we will contact you with the updated price and to confirm your booking.
