Sleeps4 in 2 Bedroom(s)
Property DescriptionFor those holidaymakers looking for an experience of island life this is a real opportunity to escape from the hustle and bustle of the commercial world and everything connected with it. There is one small shop on the island as well as a post office, but no pubs or restaurants. However, the local people are very friendly and you will be made most welcome at any island events. A regular short car ferry service makes it easy to travel on and off the island to gain access to more amenities.
The cottage is a listed building of historic interest and a delightful mix of new and old, retaining its atmosphere and character but also providing all modern facilities for a comfortable holiday. Relax with a meal outside in the back garden or sit out with a drink in the evening in the garden at the front of the house and enjoy the magnificent afterglow of the sunset reflected from the island of Shuna opposite.
Many customers have found this the ideal place to explore by cycle or in a kayak, although you must be aware of the strong currents which flow around this beautiful and fascinating coastline.
