Property description for Calgary, Isle of Lismore AL93
If you are looking for a taste of island life in a peaceful retreat with stunning sea and coastal views, then this is it! Accessed by a private, single track, unsurfaced road and looking straight out over Loch Linnhe to Ben Nevis and the mountains of Lochaber, holidaymakers will find this surprisingly spacious detached property ideal for complete relaxation.
Visitors have reported being fascinated watching the family of otters just along the shoreline and the unique mixture of wild flowers and plants which grow in the mild climate is sure to delight all.
A vehicle ferry crosses from Oban, but many islanders and visitors leave their cars parked on the mainland, using a little passenger ferry from Port Appin. Don’t worry about dining late at the excellent seafood restaurant there — the ferry will make a special crossing by prior arrangement (such is the way of island life). For this reason we reckon this would also make an ideal biking holiday base.
