Seals and orcas are regularly sighted in the bay and the sea otter can occasionally be seen.

Your holiday could start with a scenic coastal journey from Inverness or travel direct by air from Aberdeen or Edinburgh to Wick. Once settled in, should you wish to venture further afield there is the Castle of Mey, a ferry to Orkney and a world class surfing beach at Thurso. Keen ornithologists will know this area has an absolute wealth of bird life. Those wishing to eat out will find a fine selection of places in which to dine including a gourmet French restaurant in the local town of Wick (and excellent shopping facilities) .

The adjacent ‘Boat House’, with its own separate front door and full facilities, can accommodate an additional two people in complete comfort — when the owner is not in residence here this part of the property can be rented at an additional rate of £150 per week.

Accommodation

Ground floor: Sitting room with multi-fuel stove, French doors to decking area and lounge seating for four. Double-bedded room. Fully fitted kitchen with dining table. Bathroom with toilet and electric power shower over bath.

Up steep stairs to one King-size double-bedded room and one single-bedded room. Both these rooms have lovely views out to sea (what a way to waken up in the morning!)

Boat House annexe: (separate entrance) Open plan living room with multi-fuel stove, dining table and fully fitted kitchen area. Up stairs to one double-bedded room (with that same lovely view out to sea!) and a shower room with toilet and power shower cubicle.

Heating in both properties is by a mixture of electric storage heaters and electric convector heaters _^(new-) oil-fired central heating throughout _^(-new). Cost of oil included in rental. All electricity included in rental. Starter pack included for each multi-fuel stove, further fuel available locally. Double glazed throughout.

Linen: (both properties) All duvets, duvet covers, bed linen, towels and teatowels included in rental. Electric blankets, hot water bottles.
