Situated close to the most westerly point of mainland Britain this comfortable and well-appointed detached property has the most wonderful white sandy beaches stretching for miles around it. The owner is an architect and an artist who has for many years painted from this spot because of its scenic beauty. With views out to the islands of Muck, Eigg, Rum, Canna  and Skye this has to be one of the most desirable locations on the west coast — the opportunity to build a house here was not to be missed! Indeed some couples choose the beach as a romantic place to get married and book their reception in the local Sonnachan hotel.

The journey to get here is along single track surfaced roads which means it is not an ideal location for touring, but for those wishing to visit the island of Mull there is a ferry from Kilchoan which is only four miles from the cottage. Take the opportunity to book this property early — it will book up quickly.

Accommodation

Ground floor: Spacious living room with fitted kitchen area, dining table and multi-fuel stove. Double bedded room. Shower room (wheelchair access) with walk-in power shower and toilet. Small entrance lobby with utility room adjacent housing laundry equipment and space for drying wet wellies, etc.

Upstairs: One ‘super King-size’ double bedded room (can be 2 full size twin beds by prior arrangement). One twin bedded room. Bathroom with toilet and shower over bath. Upstairs rooms have coombe ceilings. All public rooms and bedrooms have that lovely view of the sea!

Heating: ‘Total Control’ off-peak electric storage heaters and electric convector heaters. All electricity charged by meter readings. (Bookings for Nov 2010 onwards have electricity included in rental April to October inclusive, otherwise charged for by meter reading). Starter pack provided for multi-fuel stove. More fuel available in the area. Double glazed throughout and well insulated.

Linen: Duvets, duvet covers and bed linen included in rental. (Bookings for Nov 2010 onwards are charged £8 per person, per week for bed linen). Please bring personal towels.
