There are 21 of these mountains over 3,000ft high within a radius of fifteen miles as well as opportunities to go mountain biking, horse riding, stalking, fishing, shooting — even to learn hang gliding.
For golfers, the highest golf course (9 hole) in Britain is nearby and skiers and snow boarders are within 15 minutes drive from the ski centre with 26 uplifts, nursery areas and excellent instruction.
Those wishing to tour will find Braemar and Royal Deeside within easy travelling distance while Pitlochry with its excellent theatre is also not far away across the hills. Will one week be long enough?
